I am an artist born in Moldova, a small country in Eastern Europe, where my childhood was surrounded by a deep love for nature and art. As a child, I found solace in working in my parents’ garden, planting seeds, and communing with the earth for hours on end. But in a society where pursuing art was deemed absurd, I kept my love for creativity hidden. It wasn’t until years later, after moving to Germany and experiencing the challenges of working in different environments, that I realized how essential art was to my soul. It became clear that no matter what I did, I couldn’t live without it.

During the pandemic, I was given the gift of time and space, and I immersed myself in painting. I created a collection of 25 paintings in just four months, experiencing a profound connection to myself. I began to paint abstract works, letting my body and mind guide the brush. But something was still missing.

After a period of reflection, I took a break, moved back to Moldova, and later traveled to the U.S., where I met my husband. A musician and skier, he encouraged me to return to art, and together we explored the magic of nature. The connection I felt to the outdoors, the freedom of creativity, and the love I found in my new life all came together. I rediscovered a sense of self I had lost years ago.

Now, living in Vermont, I am once again immersed in nature. The landscape here—the birds, the trees, the mountains—has rekindled my passion for painting. My first piece after moving here, The Garden of Love, reflects the beauty of the land I now call home. I see art in everything around me, and I am inspired to capture the love and life that thrives in nature. I am no longer searching for what to paint; I simply let the world around me guide my hand.

Through my work, I aim to express the deep, universal connection that exists between all living things. I am drawn to the quiet beauty of flowers, trees, and birds, and I believe there is a secret we all share—the love of life itself. My art is a reflection of this love, and my hope is that it resonates with others, reminding them of the wonder that surrounds us, if only we take the time to truly see it.
